Prayer for Friends: Pray for Strength and Healing of Friends
"Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up." Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
The Bible tells us the importance of friendship and being a good friend. We can trust in our true friends to help lift us up when we face hardship. Sincerely praying for your friends, when you can't directly help them, is one of the best ways to support them. May God answer your prayers when they are truly from the heart. Prayer for Friend's Healing
Dear God, I have a friend who’s now in pain. This is a difficult time for his/her life, so I ask You to be with him/her. Show him/her Your mercy and send forth Your healing hands to him/her.
I know, Lord, that no disease is ever too much for You to heal. You shall allow no affliction, whether physical, mental, or emotional, to stay with us forever. I trust in You, God, and Your mighty power to restore my friend’s body and mind back to normal.
Thank You also for blessing my friend with skilled doctors to help him/her on his road to recovery. Thank You for giving them intelligent minds and compassionate hearts to serve my friend during his/her time of illness. Continue to anoint them with Your wisdom, God, that they may provide correct diagnoses and prescribe the right medicine.
We continue to trust in Your timing, Father God. Continue to work Your restoration through his/her body. Renew his/her strength soon that he/she may continue to serve You and share Your love with the people around him/her. All these we ask in Your Name, Amen.

Almighty and eternal God, have mercy on your servants, our friends. Keep them continually under your protection, and direct them according to your gracious favour in the way of eternal salvation. May they desire whatever pleases you, and with all their strength strive to do it. As they trust in your mercy, O Lord, graciously assist them with your heavenly help, that they may always diligently serve you, and be separated from you by no temptations; through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Prayer for Friend's Strength
Heavenly Father, we recognize that You are a shelter in a time of storm. You are our strength when we are weak. You are the one who lifts us up and makes us soar on wings like eagles. Trusting Your promises, God, I ask that You would grant that strength to my friend right now who is going through a tough time in his/her life.
Give him/her the means to overcome these obstacles, God. Let him/her look to You in this time of trouble. May You also protect his/her heart from worry; instead, enable him/her to fully rely on You. Be his/her comfort, Lord, in this trying time.
As my friend undergoes this challenge, allow him/her to gracefully endure each and every step. Guide his/her way, God, that they may always walk the right path. Would you also grant him/her Your wisdom so that every decision he/she makes is a sound one. May Your Holy Spirit also be his/her constant reminder of his/her ultimate source of strength. All these I pray in Your Name, Amen.
Prayer for Friend Who Is Sick Dear Heavenly Father, I come before You today to commit my good friend who has fallen ill. He/She is in pain physically as well as emotionally. It also pains me when I see him/her laying in bed and struggling. But I know, God, that You are the great Healer. Whatever disease my friend has is nothing when compared to the power of Your Name. I ask You, dear Lord, to touch my friend with Your healing hands. May You ease his/her pain and be his/her comfort in this time of need. Reveal Yourself and Your power in a very special, personal way to my friend today. I know, Lord, that You alone are able to make miracles in the lives of those who are sick. Just as You were able to make the lame man walk, the blind man see, and the leper be healed, so I believe that You are also able to help my friend recover his/her health. I trust that my friend will be healed soon through Your power, God. These I pray in Your Name, Amen.
Prayer for Friends and Relatives
Have mercy, O Lord, on all those tied with us in the bonds of friendship and family, and grant that they, with us, may be so perfectly conformed to your holy will, that being cleansed from all sin, we may be found worthy, by the inspiration of your love, to be partakers together of the blessedness of your heavenly kingdom; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Prayer for Friend's Birthday
Birthday Prayer for Friend:
Father God, we honour You for You are the author of life. You gave us our lives as a great gift, and we treasure it accordingly. On this day, I’d like to thank You, God, for giving my friend another year to enjoy. Thank You for sustaining him/her for the past years of his/her life, and I continue to trust that You will sustain him/her this year.
As we celebrate this special occasion in my friend’s life, I pray Lord that You be with him/her. Let him/her not forget all the blessings You have showered upon his/her life. May he/she remember to be thankful in every circumstance, especially on this day of celebrating another year of life.
I also ask the Holy Spirit to fill my dear friend’s heart with gladness and peace. Above the good food, great company, and fun festivities, I ask You, God, to let my friend experience true happiness. May he/she be happy on his/her birthday from within as well.
Another year of life upon this earth:
I hope that you have used it full and well. And yet another starting now, today: Perhaps you should rededicate your life, And give it to the Lord, who gave you yours. For all that went before has passed behind; Your future lies before you like a road. And so I pray the Lord will be with you,
And dwell with you, and keep you as His own, And walk with you, beside you, down the road. And now I pray that He will make today The finest birthday that you ever had.
Friendship in the Bible The Bible mentions many things about the value of having good friends in this life. From the very beginning, God saw that it was not good for man to be alone. Part of our God-given design is longing for a companion. Not necessarily a husband or a wife, but you can’t be wrong with having a friend or two. Here are some passages from the Bible that talk about friendship: Proverbs 18:24 — A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. This proverb clearly states that there are those friends who will stick with you no matter what happens. Many of us may have someone we consider a best friend, and a best friend definitely fits the bill. Proverbs 17:17 — A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity. Yet another proverb that gives an important characteristic of what a true friend is — someone who would love you every single time. No, it’s not the romantic kind of love. This is the friendly kind of love, the type that shows that he genuinely cares for you. Proverbs 27:5-6 — Better is open rebuke than hidden love. Wounds from a friend can be trusted, but an enemy multiplies kisses. It has been said that true friends are not afraid to tell you the truth no matter how much it hurts. This proverb clearly states this principle. So if your friends do rebuke you at times, be thankful. They are doing you a great favour! John 15:13 — Greater Love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. This passage clearly illustrates how much Jesus loves us. Think about it: are any of your friends willing to die for you? That is what Jesus did for us. He laid down His life and took the punishment in place of His friends (a.k.a. us). Now that’s amazing grace! We have our friends as well. Let us value them highly, for they are God’s gifts to us too. May we remember to pray for them, especially in these times when they need it the most.
